How the practice is organised

Two kinds of work. The first has to happen. The second is what most owners are actually missing.

Compliance is statutory accounts, corporation tax, Self Assessment, VAT, payroll, CIS and the Companies House filings that keep a company in good standing. Every business has to do this work, and most of it is date-driven. Our job is to do it correctly, on time and under the right framework, so that nothing has to be corrected later and nothing arrives from HMRC that you were not expecting.

Advisory is R&D relief that survives scrutiny, forward-looking finance leadership through a virtual finance director, and representation when HMRC opens an enquiry. It is the work that uses what the compliance shows: where the margin gets found, how the group gets structured, and how an exit gets planned years ahead rather than months.

Chartered oversight, specifically

A chartered accountant reviews and signs off every set of accounts, every tax computation and every piece of advice before it leaves the practice. The person on your first call leads the work. Nothing is passed down a chain.

Fees, specifically

Fixed and agreed in writing before any work starts. Ongoing work is priced monthly; one-off projects are quoted as a whole. If the scope changes, the fee is revisited with you first, never invoiced afterwards.

Compliance

The work that has to happen

Eight areas, every one of them date-driven and every one reviewed by a chartered accountant before it is filed.

Despite having very messy accounts ruined by our previous accountants, Bilal spotted inconsistencies and was patient with all the concerns we had. We filed our annual accounts and helped us with the R&D tax credits report flawlessly. Highly recommended!
